Synopsis
Gracelyn Beck and her boyfriend were in a two-year relationship and preparing to get married. However, they had a heated argument about the betrothal gifts, which eventually led to their breakup. Feeling heartbroken, Gracelyn then dated a young man who was set up by her neighbor, as if it was a way to mend her broken heart. Having grown up together and sharing a deep understanding, Gracelyn soon married the young man. All along, she had believed her husband was just an ordinary returnee who liked to put on airs. However, during a press conference, the wealthiest man in the city declared that he had gotten married. Upon seeing the man, Gracelyn experienced a sudden realization–he bore an uncanny resemblance to her own husband.

This story has a strong opening and it keeps getting better chapter by chapter. The world-building is detailed enough to be immersive without feeling too heavy. I would definitely recommend this to readers who enjoy drama, romance, and steady character development.
At first I only planned to read a few chapters, then I kept going for hours. The world-building is detailed enough to be immersive without feeling too heavy. Overall, this is a memorable read with strong emotions and a lot of replay value.
This story has a strong opening and it keeps getting better chapter by chapter. What I like most is the pacing: quiet moments, tension, and twists are balanced very well. If the author keeps this quality, this could easily become one of my favorite books this year.
